Can You Lose Your Salvation?

Salvation is like a Hebrew betrothal into marriage. It is just like BEING married and you are adopted as one of the family. If one is truly born again, you cannot be unborn. But to be truly born again, and experiencing His grace and mercy--I don't know if you could ever walk away willfully.

I have emailed several people who feel they are losing their faith, when it came down to the fact that they were not truly born again, only worshipping a god of their own design--and that god was failing them. Can you lose your salvation? The true meaning of free will says yes. But do not expect to surprise God with your decision. For Jesus said very clearly in John 17:12,

"While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost."

Also remember, that when you put yourself into the care of your Lord, NO ONE can pull you from them.

"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand."

If you stay in Jesus, you have eternal security. However, if you want out, I'm pretty sure you could squirm yourself out. But someone truly born again would never want to go back into the hopeless darkness that Jesus has saved us from again. No way.
