New Light

The Watchtower Society has declared that "new light" can never contradict a former truth. In 1897, the Watchtower proclaimed that Michael the Archangel is not the Son of God. A century later, this truth was replaced with a "new truth" and is now established Jehovah Witness doctrine. The Watchtower has violated its own dictates regarding "new light" and has contradicted itself.
