Intercede For David

The following is a post-surgery, running diary of a major trial for my son David. I will update the prayer request text at the top (in red text) for all prayer warriors. Thank you in advance from Rick (myself), Julie, Rebekah and especially David! The latest update is now at the top of the page.

Latest Prayer Specifics:

Changing Prayer Requests to Praise Requests. Jehovah-Rafa has done GREAT things!

Feb. 20 - And the good news keeps on comin'!  David's blood count is now up to... oh let's just call it 14! Which is mid to upper-normal range. This is awesome, and still no transfusion since October 25!

Feb. 1st - God could not have started 2025 off any better than the healing and strengthening of David in regard to his aplastic anemia (a condition that occurs when your body stops producing enough new blood cells). Our hematologist was perplexed and seemed to be testing for everything. Thankfully, all tests for cancer were negative.
By early December 2024, his only recourse was to put him on immune suppressants (which did not thrill me). We had a slight delay on the medication but immediately halted when, all of sudden, David's count went up for the first time since his POEM surgery! We immediately halted any use of the medication. The next reading showed another slight rise. Toward Christmas he began to dip again. I was still focusing on the win that his marrow engine was trying to sputteri to life. His Hgb had slowed to a shallow descent. Every week he did not need a transfusion I considered a win and praise-worthy report. I began to focus, not on the numbers, but rather on the length of time between transfusions—it was lengthening!
When it dropped to 7.1, he was due for another transfusion, but we consulted the doctor and decided to act according to David's mood, rather than the numbers. He seemed chipper and in good color, so we decided to wait another week then decide after the next test. We prayed in the positive, but my faith was low, anticipating and advance-scheduling his next transfusion. Well, God had other plans and by the new year his Hgb went up to 8! God was cranking his marrow engine again, so we held off the transfusion and began to watch for a trend. Test results at the next week caused Julie to yell and scare our new, timid kitty. She yelled out, "10.9!?" I dashed around the corner, "Did I hear 10.9!?" His marrow had roared to life. As of the end of January, his latest test at the hospital for a post surgical procedure came in at 12.6! He is now in the "normal" range and we could not have been more thrilled with God's healing. The doctor had now decided to do blood draws every other week, rather than weekly. Praying that 2025 will see an end to it all together.

Jan. 21st - It is time for GREAT rejoicing and praise and glory to God. Today David got tested for his red blood cell count. Last week I was so excited to report that David's count had risen +.9, almost an entire point. Well, God said, "Just you wait!" Today, David's count came in at 10.9!! That is almost 3 whole points higher than last week! God is starting 2025 for us with all sorts of good news!

Jan. 13th - 2025 has begun with some uber-great news. David's latest Hgb count was the highest increase in red blood cell count since his PerOral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM) at nearly an entire point! This makes it 11-weeks since his last transfusion. Prayers are effective and God gets all the glory. Julie is part of an achalasia Facebook Page and she noticed that, for some reason, others have experienced Hgb drops since their operation. I mentioned this to our blood doctor and he said he was going to do more research on that (I like a doctor that takes initiative). Keep the prayers coming!

Dec. 20th - Hgb went down to 7.9, not a big drop from 8.5, but a bit disheartening. By the 27th, another drop to 7.5. By Jan. 3, his count went down to 7.1. Each of these are comparatively small drops, but if it dropped anymore, David would need a transfusion. God intervened and this morning he is back up to 8!!

Dec. 6th - Still going up! In just four days it has gone up .2 points! Up is good news! David's body is manufacturing again!

Dec. 2nd - Extremely good news to report today! David had his weekly blood draw. His blood has shown a weekly drop of .8 points per week. Last week was a reading of 7.8 and I had anticipated him having a reading of 7 today. I was at the clinic for my bi-yearly exam with my brother in Christ, Dr. Bryan Sowell, who, after my exam, prayed with me with a special intercession for David's condition. Then, when in the office making my next appointment, Julie called all excited with the news that David's numbers went UP! And this was BEFORE he began the immune inhibitor medication! He went up .6 points from 7.8 to 8.3! I would have been glad just to see it stop at 7.8, but go UP?! YES! All glory to God! Here is the trend...

Nov. 29th - David was able to enjoy his first Thanksgiving in two-years. To celebrate his being able to eat, we decked out the table with all the trimmings, including (by his request) a HoneyBaked Ham. He chowed down quicker than I liked, but only responded with a small bout of hiccups. Most of Julie's family joined in the feasting, which was a badly needed respite while caring for their father who is in his 90s. He was there too and could barely walk. But thankfully, could heartily eat. Half of the meats were vacuumed packed and frozen—perhaps for Christmas.

David's red blood count is still descending. Every week it is a .8 drop instead of the previous 1 point. So our oncologist has recommended an immune inhibitor to see if that curtails the pernicious drop. We are going to allow his numbers to drop below 7 and just monitor his mood and alertness. Not going below 7 is kind of a random number to get a transfusion. I'm hoping doing such will alert his T-cells to kick into gear.

Nov. 1st - Brethren, God is hearing your prayers. Again, David's healing is a "I see men as trees walking" pace. Look at the hemoglobin trend of David's red blood cell count (see trend below). After the surgery to remove his thymus, David experience a .8 drop in his numbers. Now remember, every week David's numbers would drop an entire point. Two weeks after surgery, the trend drop only a half a point. The next week, almost the same. The next couple of weeks he dropped a full point again. By week six, it returned to its original trend of a half a point. He had reached a low of 7.3 to whit the counsel was to get another transfusion which brought his number up to 9.7. But that was seven weeks after his surgery! Part of that was just "loading him up for surgery to 11.5, but still, on the whole, low drops! However, todays drop was the lowest ever at less than a half point, ie -.4! Keep praying that David's marrow will shift into overdrive and start getting him into the plus zone!

Oct. 18th - It has been a couple weeks since my previous update because I am closely watching trends. Julie and I are irritating David with daily accounts on how he is feeling. Pretty much "fine". We are monitoring for any dizziness due to blood count loss. We are praying for his body to get the message not to depend on blood transfusions and to start making his own. Two weeks ago, his Hgb was 8.8. The next week it was measured at 7.8. That was a one point drop in a week, which was the normal rate before having his thymus removed. I tried not to let it effect my joy. The good news at today's reading was his Hgb drop was only 7.3. If this becomes a trend, his Hgb drop is slowing! Jesus is faithful. Right now David's healing is "I see men as trees walking." Keep the prayers coming! Thanks warriors!

Oct. 1st - I had a meeting with his oncologist who wanted to see how David was doing, post-surgery. The most interesting part was the doctor and I being in agreement regarding David's red cell count levels. He noted that it was just a normal practice to give a transfusion if levels go to 7 or below. However, if David is not experiencing fatigue or dizziness, then perhaps he does not need a transfusion at 7? It seems as if David's body is not producing red blood cells because it is detecting enough every time he gets a transfusion. It concerns me that the rule "use it or lose it" will take effect. To combat this, we have decided to get David a transfusion IF he starts becoming fatigued.

____________________________________

Praise update: David's recovery has been swift. The most pain after he was home was taking off the stupid bandage that seemed to be applied with epoxy! He has been eating well and is saving up his enthusiasm for his first Thanksgiving meal in years. The real answer to prayer is the thymus was benign and his latest X-rays gave an all-clear! Thank you all for praying. Now we need to pray that the thymus was the culprit in dropping his red blood count in the first place... ie no autoimmune issues.

UFOs and the Rapture

The UFO Phenomenon and the Biblical End Days: A Spiritual Perspective

In recent years, the topic of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) has gained significant attention, sparking debates and discussions across various platforms. As reports of sightings and alleged government cover-ups emerge, a growing number of individuals are connecting these phenomena to biblical prophecies regarding the End Days. This perspective posits that the current UFO situation may serve as a precursor to the ultimate deception described in the Bible, particularly in relation to the AntiChrist and the Rapture.

The Bible speaks of the AntiChrist as a figure who will rise during tumultuous times, deceiving many and leading them away from the truth of God. This character is often associated with the concept of “the lie,” a false narrative that distorts the reality of God’s creation and His plan for humanity. In this context, UFOs could symbolize a manifestation of this deception, presenting an alternative explanation for human existence that undermines the teachings of Christianity.

As believers in Christ, many view the Rapture as a pivotal event where faithful Christians will be taken up to meet the Lord, leaving behind a world that has turned away from God. However, the interpretation of the Rapture has evolved over time, and some argue that it may be misrepresented in light of the current UFO discourse. Rather than being a divine rescue, the Rapture could be misconstrued as the removal of Christians who are perceived as obstacles to human advancement and enlightenment. This perspective aligns with the notion that the AntiChrist seeks to create a new world order, one that is devoid of traditional Christian values and principles.

The idea that UFOs are in league with the AntiChrist is not without its proponents. Some theorists suggest that the increasing acceptance of extraterrestrial life could lead to a societal shift away from monotheistic beliefs. As humanity grapples with the implications of UFOs, a narrative may emerge that positions these beings as superior entities, further distancing people from the teachings of Jesus and the fundamental truths of Christianity. This shift could foster an environment ripe for the AntiChrist’s influence, as people seek answers and guidance from sources outside of their faith.

Moreover, the technological advancements and scientific explanations surrounding UFOs may serve as a gateway for the AntiChrist’s deception. As society becomes more reliant on technology and empirical evidence, the spiritual realm may be dismissed as irrelevant or antiquated. This dismissal can create a vacuum in which the AntiChrist can operate, presenting himself as a figure of enlightenment and progress, while subtly leading humanity away from God.

In conclusion, the current UFO situation could be interpreted as a significant element in the unfolding of biblical prophecies concerning the End Days. The connection between UFOs and the AntiChrist serves as a reminder of the spiritual warfare that believers face. As the world becomes increasingly enamored with the idea of extraterrestrial life, it is crucial for Christians to remain vigilant and grounded in their faith. The potential misrepresentation of the Rapture and the growing acceptance of alternative narratives must be approached with discernment, ensuring that the truth of God’s Word remains at the forefront of believers' hearts and minds. The battle between light and darkness continues, and understanding the implications of the UFO phenomenon is essential in navigating these tumultuous times.

Kamala Harris History

History & Inconvenient Truth of Kamala Harris

By Geoffrey B. Higginbotham, Major General, USMC

For your knowledge and interest about Kamala Harris.  Here is a timely editorial that exposes the hidden background of Kamala Harris from the Combat Veterans for Congress Political Action Committee that is posted here with permission of the author. CVFC PAC supports the election of US military combat veterans to the US Senate and House of Representatives. The editorial begins:

Kamala Harris' father was an avowed Marxist professor in the Economics Department at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. Both of Harris' parents were active in the Berkeley based Afro-American Association; Fidel Castro and Che Guevara were the heroes of the Afro-American Association.

The group's leader, Donald Warden (aka Khalid al-Mansour), mentored two young Afro-American Association members, Huey Newton and Bobby Seale; they created the Maoist inspired Black Panther Party which gained strong support from Communist China; the Black Panther Party served as the model for creation of the Black Lives Matter Marxist organization Khalid al-Mansour subsequently went on to arrange financing and facilitated for Barack Hussein Obama to be accepted as a student to matriculate at Harvard Law School.

Following her graduation from college, Harris returned to California and subsequently became the mistress of the 60-year-old married Speaker of the California Assembly, Willie Brown, Jr. Brown's political campaigns were supported and funded by Dr. Carlton Goodlett, the owner of The Sun Reporter and several other pro-Communist newspapers.

Brown was elected as Mayor of San Francisco, and strongly endorsed Harris' Marxist political philosophy; he guided Harris' political rise in California politics, leading to her election as California's Attorney General. Willie Brown, Jr. was a well-known long-time Communist sympathizer. Willie Brown, Jr. was initially elected to public office with the substantial help of the Communist Party USA.

Today, Willie Brown is widely regarded as one of the Chinese Communist Party's best friends in the San Francisco Bay Area.

While serving as San Francisco District Attorney, Kamala Harris mentored a young San Francisco Radical Maoist activist, Lateefah Simon, who was a member of the STORM Revolutionary Movement; Simon currently chairs the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Board. Simon has always been close friends with the founder of Black Lives Matter Marxist Domestic Terrorists, Alicia Garza, as well as STORM member and avowed Communist, Van Jones. Harris has been openly and aggressively supporting Black Lives Matter Marxists; Kamala Harris is still closely associated with Maoist Lateefah Simon and Marxist Alicia Garza.

Kamala Harris's sister Maya Harris was a student activist at Stanford University. She was a closely associated with Steve Phillips, one of the leading Marxist-Leninists on campus and a long-time affiliate with the League of Revolutionary Struggle, a pro-Chinese Communist group.

Phillips came out of the Left, and in college he studied Marx, Mao, and Lenin, and maintained close associations with fellow Communists. Phillips married into the multibillion-dollar Sandler family of the Golden West Savings and Loan fortune. He funded many leftist political campaigns, and voter registration drives in the Southern and South Western states in order to help his friend, Barack Hussein Obama, defeat Hillary Clinton. Phillips has been a major financial sponsor for Kamala Harris's political campaigns for various California elective offices plus Cory Booker, Andrew Gillum, Stacey Abrams to name a few.

Harris' husband, Doug Emhoff works for the law firm DLA Piper, which "boasts nearly 30 years of experience in Communist China with over 140 lawyers dedicated to its 'Communist China investment Services' branch. He was just appointed Professor at Yale to school future lawyers in the fine points of Communism.

When she was elected to the US Senate, Kamala Harris appointed a Pro-Communist Senate Chief of Staff, Karine Jean-Pierre. Jean-Pierre was active with the New York-based Haiti Support Network. The organization worked closely with the pro-Communist China/Communist North Korea Workers World Party and supported Jean-Bertrand Aristide, the far-left Communist former president of Haiti and the radical Lavalas movement.

Fortunately for Harris, but potentially disastrous for the Republic, elected office holders are not subject to the security clearance process. If the FBI did a Background Investigation on Kamala Harris, she never would have passed, because of her 40-year close ties with Marxists, Communists, Maoists, and Communist China. Harris would never have been approved for acceptance to any of the 5 Military Service Academies, been appointed to a US Government Sub-Cabinet position, or would have been approved to fill a sensitive position for a high security defense contractor. Yet, since Joe Biden was elected, Harris could be a heartbeat away from being President.

The US constitutional Republic is being threatened by the People's Republic of Communist China (PPC) externally, and by their very active espionage operations within the United States. The People's Republic of Communist China (PPC), with 1.4 billion people, is governed by the 90 million member Chinese Communist Party (CCP), that has been working with Russia to destroy the US Constitutional Republic for over 70 years.

If the American voters read the background information (in Trevor Loudon's article) on Kamala Harris, they would never support her election as Vice President of the United States. Joe Biden is suffering from the early onset of dementia and will continue to decline in cerebral awareness; he will never be able to fill out a four-year term of office.

Since Biden was elected, the Socialists, Marxists, and Communist who control Kamala Harris, are planning to enact provisions of the 25th Amendment, in order to remove Joe Biden from office, so Harris can become the first Communist President of the United States.

Since Biden was elected, because Biden would not be up to it, Kamala Harris would lead the effort to appoint very dangerous anti-American Leftist, Communist, Socialists, and Marxists to fill highly sensitive positions in the Washington Deep State Bureaucracy. She would fill all appointive positions in the US Intelligence Agencies, in the Department of Homeland Security, in the Department of Defense, in The Justice Department, the Department of State, the FBI, the CIA, most cabinet positions, the National Security Council, and in the White House Staff.

American voters must alert their fellow Americans that Kamala Harris is a very serious National Security threat to the very survival of the US Constitutional Republic; she has been a fellow traveler of Marxists, Communists, Maoists, Socialists, Progressives, and Chinese Communists for over 35 years.

President Trump had much more background information on Kamala Harris than we presented here, and he was correct, when he accused Kamala Harris of being a Communist subverter.

Inconvenient Truth of Kamala Harris II
by Steve Baldwin, Former California State Assemblyman, State of California

I watched an interview with her. She is attractive, animated and absurd. She stated that she never had children; yet was a “Mother to her husband’s children.” And she “loved being a Mother.” She said the children called her “Momela”. Anyway, she led her audience to believe that she mothered these kids. I looked her up. She married her husband when the son was in his 3rd year of college and the daughter was in 10th grade and they actually lived with their biological Mother (except for normal visits with their father)—so much for Motherhood. Right after hearing that, I discovered she was an opportunistic liar.

I do remember Kamala Harris. I had just been elected to the State Assembly in 1994 and, at that time, the ultimate “power broker” that controlled every aspect of California’s state government was the Speaker of the House, Willie Brown. He ran Sacramento like it was his own personal fiefdom and handed out jobs to loyalists and fired people who were disloyal. He broke every ethical law in the book, but was never held to account by anyone. He was married, but openly had mistresses which he showed off by bringing them to public events.

At the time I arrived in Sacramento, Willie was seeing a young girl who was in her late 20’s. He was in his 60’s. She was his mistress and he showered her with gifts and appointed her to a number of State government jobs. Her name was Kamala Harris. Willie launched her political career because she was having sex with him. The idea that she is an “independent” woman who worked her way up the political ladder because she worked hard is baloney. It is common knowledge in California that Kamala slept her way into powerful political jobs.
And now she is running for VP with a man who will be unable to govern due to his lack of mental clarity. In essence, she will function as the President of the United States should the Biden/Harris ticket prevail this November.

Her views on guns, taxes, immigration, energy, etc. are far to the left of the average America, but you watch the media ignore these positions. For example, she believes illegal aliens are eligible to ALL government services, including education, welfare benefits, health care, you name it. In other words, she does not believe there is a difference between a citizen and a non-citizen. That view alone will cost us billions of dollars if acted upon. Her view of the constitution is frankly bizarre and dangerous and she is willing to enact laws restricting our 2nd Amendment rights even if such laws violate our constitution.

She will be the most radical person to run for VP in American history, but you won’t see any of this on the news. You will soon witness a massive campaign by the media to deceive you about who she is and what she believes. Don’t fall for it!

Steve Baldwin, Former California State Assemblyman, State of California

Immune System Hyperdrive

A possible confession:

For several nights now I have woken at 1 or 2am in the morning and unable to return to sleep until about 5am. It is during this interim of non-sleep that I am most vulnerable to spiritual attack and this morning (Thursday, June 13) was a front line assault. After numerous needle pricks, transfusions (another tomorrow), and a very uncomfortable bone marrow biopsy, it is looking like David has an autoimmune disorder that is attacking his red blood cells—thus dropping his hemoglobin count. What is causing this? The doctors are baffled, but an assault on my spirit last night may provide a possible clue.

After David's esophageal surgery in early March, David started having edema (fluid buildup) in his legs and face. This lasted for several weeks and the diuretics prescribed did not seem to be doing anything. I was getting frustrated. Then I watched an episode of And We Know and the narrator read a testimony of a person who had a severe case of edema that would not clear up. After taking a supplement made from the sprouts of the Coriolus Versicolor mushroom (a product that boosts the immune system) the edema they were suffering from cleared up. I thought, "might be worth a try". I bought a bottle of 60 tablets and had David take just one a day. His edema did not clear up. So, I suggested two tablets a day as prescribed on the label. It still did not lessen the swelling.

The bottle was now empty, but it was after this that David started becoming weak and lethargic. I have blogged about the gradual decline in health here for all his prayer warriors to follow. Once it was becoming clear that this might be autoimmune related, last night it hit me (and not in a good way), did the immune booster put David's immune system into hyperdrive? Not finding anything to attack, did it decide to go after his red blood cells? What had I done? What pain, suffering, and near death did I put him through?

Here is the product's description from the Web site:

DESCRIPTION:
Designed specifically for immune health, Forest Natural only combines the most potent strains of Coriolus Versicolor (more commonly known as Turkey Tail) and Ganoderma Lucidum (more commonly known as Reishi) to create inForce Plus. Both Coriolus Versicolor and Ganoderma Lucidum have been used for medicinal purposes in eastern cultures for well over a thousand years. There are hundreds of western style clinical studies suggesting that both Coriolus Versicolor and Ganoderma Lucidum offer a high level of immune support, and many other beneficial properties through Triterpenes and Polysaccharides. Based on these and other studies. Forest Natural utilizes its proprietary extraction processes to create this proprietary blend of the most potent combination for our customers....
Ganoderma Lucidum has several molecules, including triterpenoids, polysaccharides and peptidoglycans, that may be responsible for its health effects. It has been found to boost the immune system, improve heart health and blood sugar control, enhance anti-oxidant status to prevent cell damage, and studies are showing it may be helpful in fighting fatigue and depression.

To fight back against this onslaught, I sought the defense of my Savior and Attorney. If I was indeed the cause of my son's trials, I would need Jesus to come to my aid and deliver me from condemnation. The worst condemnation I can ever experience is that which is based on facts I cannot refute or deny.

I covet your prayers in this trial. If I am "guilty as accused", then I placed that charge at the foot of His throne, seeing that I am merely a servant and He is Lord.

David's Goliath

The following is a running diary of a major trial for my son David.

It's difficult to get the exact timing of everything, but it pretty much started two months ago (May 2024?). It had only been a couple weeks after his post-op recovery from an operation on his esophagus for a rare condition known as achalasia (inability to get food or liquid to his stomach).  All seemed to be well for a while and then he developed edema (swelling and fluid build up) in his legs. The swelling was so bad, it was causing him pain. I took him to our doctor who prescribed a diuretic to help drain the accumulated fluid.

This continued and then David began to become anemic and lethargic. We were wondering if there was some kind of inflammation in his veins causing his heart to work harder to get blood through. A blood test had our doctor confused. The readings showed that all his organs were working fine.

David was getting weaker. At first he could walk quite a ways, then only around our street circle until he got winded and needed to stop. Then, even worse, he could not walk across the yard. He needed to move to relieve his edema. After another blood test and urine test, there were hints that he was suffering from Hepatitis A. This was good news because 1. we know what it is and 2. the body will deal with it.

My doctor urged me to admit him to Loma Linda University (LLU) Emergency, but David does not have insurance, so all tests and procedures are out of pocket. If, indeed, it was HepA, then recovery is all on his antibodies— right? Well, David was sinking even lower. He could not stand and was throwing up. In the process of needing to vomit, he fell out of his bed and couldn't get up. Neither Julie or I were available to help him. I was in transit from Glendale via my work.

I was strongly urged by my doctor to get him to LLU Emergency because his latest readings did not confirm HepA, even though all the symptoms were there. OK, time for the big guns. Julie and I poured David into the car and I took him to LLU Emergency. I was met there with a HUGE line of the sick and injured. I was almost positive I was looking at a 6-9 hour wait.

After checking David in, we were placed in a waiting area for vitals to be taken. They drew some blood and the attendant was not pleased with the thin look of David's blood.  A doctor showed up asking questions. She then said that we were being ushered to an emergency room bed. In other words, we were at an emergency level to bypass the entire line of people.

Normal hemoglobin levels is around a 13. If you have a level of around 6-7, they give a transfusion to get the red blood cell level up. David was at 2!!  I later heard from a blood doctor that he had never seen a patient with a hemoglobin level that low. His organs were being starved of oxygen and his heart was beating hard to compensate. Another blood doctor came in and said that he had never seen anyone with a level of 2... because they all died.

God had miraculously protected David, for which we are eternally grateful. God graciously gave him an extra grace to save his life at a hemoglobin level of 2. A severe reading that allowed us to jump ahead in the very long line.

They inserted two IV tubes to continually draw blood for testing. This was fine with David even though he has real trouble with needles. They took his blood and tested for any conflict with the blood they were going to give him. There was not a negative reaction so they gave him one unit (one pint) of blood to see if he would develop heavy breathing or a rash. He did not react, so they gave him a second. Within minutes he began to become more alert and less lethargic.

They moved him to the ICU and began a battery of tests including a CAT scan, an ultrasound, and a battery of tests (60 at last count). We had returned home at 3:30 AM.

By the next day, they had given him 3 more units of blood (five pints total). As of the most recent count, his hemoglobin was now 8, which is wonderful news. However, it remains to be seen if his bone marrow has shut down in the creation of red blood cells. Monday is scheduled a bone marrow biopsy, which is an uncomfortable sampling from the hip. We may be looking at Aplastic Anemia.

Mind you, the doctors are all puzzled. Physicians have come in and confessed that they really do not know what is going on. Previous blood tests showed no issues with the hemoglobin levels. Then, gradually, it began becoming an issue. What caused the sudden drop in red blood cells? And where did the bad cells go? There was no blood in his urine, no blood in his vomit, and no blood in his stool.

As of tonight, David is gingerly walking and (thankfully) going to the bathroom. He is eating and has been moved to regular room.

The doctors are still unclear what caused the sudden drop. Tomorrow (Monday) David is going to have a marrow biopsy to confirm or rule out Cancer. There is also a virus that he was tested for called the Parvovirus. However, this test takes 5-days to confirm. Everyone is hoping it IS the Parvovirus because it can be treated. Pray that it is the Parvovirus and NOT Cancer!

Mon, June 3 - Today was the day of David's bone marrow biopsy. Julie could not stay, so I did in order to hold his hand and pray. As much local anesthesia they use (three shots and a bone shot), the pain is still excruciating. A large needle is inserted 3-different times, and then a marrow extraction. David, who has a low threshold for pain, screamed in his pillow. The good news is that they extracted a good sample of marrow to analyse. All the while I was praying him through it, I thought of the Father watching His Son have nails pierce His hands and rubbing His scarred back against a cross.

Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him...when You make His soul an offering for sin... - Isaiah 53:10

David is home!  Now waiting for results. Pray for perfect marrow!
____________________________________

Thurs, June 6 - As of today we have begun the waiting game to find out the results of David's bone marrow biopsy. Pastor Jack, in last night's study, talked about when he was a flight student attempting to land on a runway that had a hole in the tarmac. He sought to avoid it, but continually hit it after numerous attempts. The instructor asked, "How many times are you going to hit that hole?" He then told Jack to stop focusing on the hole and just look 30-feet ahead of it. He nailed the landing without hitting the hole.

This made me recall the disciples all fearing for their lives in a boat during a severe storm on the Sea of Galilee. Jesus came walking on the water. When given the go-ahead, Peter walked on the water to meet Jesus. When he began to focus on the waves that threatened around him, he began to sink.

The lesson? Keep your eyes on Jesus and not the surrounding threat. Waiting for the results of the biopsy is like the threatening waves of the sea. There is a temptation to wake Jesus and accuse with "Teacher, don't you care that we are perishing!?" No! Rather, the Lord has bid me to walk upon the water to meet him. My main focus (and covet your prayers accordingly) is to keep my eyes on Jesus and not the diagnosis results.

Sat, June 8th - I went to be of comfort to Pastor Rea (Packinghouse Calvary Chapel in Redlands) for the graduation of his wife, Raelynn, into eternity from cancer. Meeting up with Pastor Ed, I told him how much the memorial service was to me seeing that this coming Wednesday we will learn the results of David's bone marrow biopsy. Instead of me ministering to him, Ed immediately switch the tables and gave me the skinny on who the best oncologist was in Redlands. He also gave some hard-learned tips on finding specifics regarding which cancer and best treatments. I was puzzled and queried, "I thought Loma Linda was the top tier for cancer treatment?" Pastor Ed replied, "You'd think that, but City of Hope in Duarte is..."  It will be good to have a second opinion on hand. Keep praying for Wednesday's results.

Just came back from the oncologist... Good news is, NO evidence of acute leukemia, lymphoma, or metastatic malignancy. Those were the biggies. The doctor wants to make sure there is no cancer hiding in the lungs, so he ordered a PET scan. There is a possibility that it is red cell aplasia or an auto immune disease. Blood was drawn to see what changes have taken place since previous draw. When the doctor asked how he was feeling, David replied, "Fine, as if all this never happened." All of your prayers are being heard, but our trial has not officially ended yet.

The doctor just called and the latest blood draw shows that his red blood cells are down a point (down to 7) and David will need another blood transfusion to get his count above 8. However, the good news is that his liver is OK. Whew!!
____________________________________

Wed, June 12th - Spent today at LLU Clinic in Beaumont for David to receive another 2-units of blood to raise his hemoglobin level that dipped down to 7. That makes a total of 7 units. Seven is the number of completion, so I pray this will complete his need for any more transfusions. The first nurse to insert the needle could not find a suitable vein. She explored with the needle which caused extreme pain for David who tensed up, thus constricting the vein she was looking for. She gave up and I became dizzy, and nauseas. I am not squeamish at blood or needles, but hearing my son in pain caused my blood to drain from my brain. I had to lay down for a few minutes. As I lay there recovering, a male nurse came in and tried the other arm and it was over in just a few seconds. Total time here... 6-hours. Here is a shot of David enjoying some Hawaiian Ono Teriyaki Chicken.

Fri, June 28th - Took David this morning to have his blood drawn and tested. We all prayed that the blood draw would be quick and not traumatic as others had been. Prayer answer, bang zoom, we were done in minutes. Now, his last transfusion (above) got his red cell count from 7.0 to 9.9.  The reading we get today will determine whether or not his bone marrow is producing the necessary blood. (we lose a degree of red blood cells, normally.) If it has dropped back to 7 or below, he would have to have another transfusion with the bad news being his marrow is not reproducing blood. Mind you, I have been focusing our prayer chains on David's marrow and zero damage to his organs. I got a very joyous call from Julie while at work this afternoon. His hemoglobin was 9.8!!  Though I was focusing on 10 or above, a loss of only a tenth of a point means his marrow is reproducing! He is doing so well, Julie is going to seek to have the PET scan canceled until further notice. She would rather he not have to ingest anything radioactive if not completely necessary.
____________________________________

Tue, July 9th - Post PET scan, we believe we have a diagnosis. I will try to simplify this very rare condition. Before we are born, while in development and into childhood, we have what is called a Thymus. This organ produces and "teaches" T-cells in support of our immune system. When we reach puberty, the job of the Thymus is done and begins to shrivel up and is replaced with fat. It is located just behind the sternum of our chest. David's Thymus never shriveled up, has become a benign tumor, and is the cause of red cell aplasia—a condition where red blood cells are not being produced in the marrow. So, what now? We are to continue to have David's blood drawn every Friday to make sure he doesn't need another transfusion. The last hemoglobin count was down from 9.8 to 8.3. If he is down to 7 or below, he will need another transfusion. His Thymus condition is being sent to a "tumor board" where all these specialists give their assessment on how to proceed.* Pray for wisdom for the tumor board to make the absolute best treatment and that doing so will not hinder his immune system. Pray for wisdom on our part as well, this is totally uncharted territory for us.

* The Tumor Board is a "meeting of the minds" where physicians from many specialties present their latest cases and basically get and share advice regarding tumors and the best treatment for each.  Oncology, Hematology, and doctors from many fields look at all the information and make recommendations.

Just had a meeting with a Loma Linda specialist and he was not convinced that the thymus is the direct culprit to David’s lack of red blood cell production. As I write this, he is getting blood drawn for a series of lab tests. If they prove inconclusive, he will need to have a surgical biopsy done.
____________________________________

The PET scan had narrowed down the "thymus" (see above update) as the possible cause of David's red cell aplasia. The tests given to him were to rule out any other possibilities because removing the thymus is tricky, it being so close to the heart.

As detailed in the red text prayer above, we are praying for a safe and perfect operation. But mostly, that this was the cause of David's red cell drops (the doctors are giving it a 50-50 chance of helping, but prayer can supersede these odds). Prayer has been helping. We had some amazing news in his last hemoglobin test. When he received his last transfusion, his count was around 9, which is normal after a transfusion. However, his next blood cell count, a week later, measured 10!! This was huge in that God kicked his marrow and T-cells into gear to begin red cell production again!  At first I wanted to put the surgery on hold, but the oncologist and such urged us to continue going forward. We are trusting in the Lord in all this. After all, when wanting to move out of SoCal, God told us to stay put. And because of that, we were an hour away from the uber-specialist in operating on David's esophagus, and now, less than 15-minutes away from another specialist in thymus removal! God be praise... always!
____________________________________

As of Friday the 13th, 10am, David is out of surgery. Surgeon said all went well, but the thymus was larger than they expected. This hints to me that it’s been the cause of his reoccurring red blood cell count drops, but still, keep that at the top of your prayer list for him as well as the thymus being benign. Prayer for ease of recovery as well. Thank you all!!

____________________________________

David is home!  He went through a few painful moments, one he said was worse pain than the bone marrow aspiration!  Now he is home, downing meds, not wanting to move much, but glad. Thank you for all your prayers! Pray now that this oversized thymus is benign and was the cause of his reoccurring red cell count drops. Thank you in advance!

Yesterday (Oct. 1st), I had a meeting with his oncologist who wanted to see how David was doing, post-surgery.

Don't Miss God's Hand

I never want to "miss God" when it came to life events. When they happen, I want to record them like a stack of memorial stones.

I think this particular event began when my wife, Julie, and I were contemplating a move out of California that had been corrupted by evil governance. I consulted with God with, "where should we move?" I didn't even ask whether we should or shouldn't— just "where". We checked out several other states, but none gave us any spiritual confirmation.

I finally asked God after several months, "Should we?" His answer was (much to the dismay of my wife) "Stay put." Not long after, I got a local job that I had been wanting for some time. Even after forced retirement, I still had a few good years of work left in me. Then Julie got a job with the City with a short term retirement goal and my daughter also was able to secure a dream position where I was now employed. My son, David, then got a part time position at a grocery chain, then later in a local restaurant. Everyone was employed, our home is here, my chiropractor, doctor, podiatrist, my favorite church within driving distance... all seemed to point to "staying put" being cemented in our current situation. We had no idea how this would be part of a larger plan.

Not too long after my son David became employed at the restaurant, he came in and confessed that for many months he had been having trouble swallowing his food. We were puzzled, yet seeing his frustration, I decided to take him to see my doctor (my best friend for decades and loves Jesus). He examined David, prayed over him, yet could not resolve the cause or treatment. More information was needed, so he suggested taking him to a gastroenterologist group for a series of tests. I was hesitant because David had no insurance and tests were expensive. We waited a few weeks to see if it got better on its own. Unfortunately, it got worse.

The doctor gave us a referral and, thankfully, it was only 20-minutes away. We had to wait a few weeks for an appointment and we were prescribed to have a Barium Swallow test. Basically, this is a drink that can be seen in a series of Xray photos to see just where the stoppage occurs. That was in another location, and again, only 20-30 minutes away. We had to wait another couple weeks for that appointment.

The results gave the prognosis of Type II Achalasia... Achy-what!? It is a rare disorder that tightens the muscles of the esophagus. Think of it as someone grabbing your food-tube just above the stomach and squeezing. Food can go in, but lodges just above the stomach, and must then be spit out. At various times, some food and liquid can get through, but the majority could not.

It is here that I must identify a few moves of God's hand. First, we live in a town that is less than a half hour away from where we needed to test. Second, my doctor knew exactly where to send us for tests then immediately diagnosed the problem with the help of specialists. On a support group site, we had read horror stories of children having to go through test after test, racking up bills, and no one could give a proper diagnosis.

There was another test that needed to be done called an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy . Simply put, a camera down the esophagus to see just what was going on. When Achalasia was confirmed, we then sought a specialist and we "just so happened" to be within an hours drive of an uber-specialist named Dr. Chang down at UC Irvine—the best surgeon for this procedure in the entire west coast. However, to even qualify for his service, they needed another test. This time it was an esophageal manometry test to study esophageal motility (or motor function). Another few weeks for that one.

Understand that with every test, David was losing weight—fast. He is 5' 7" tall and weighed in initially at 102 pounds. At another interval, he had dropped to 95 pounds. We stopped checking when he reached 84 pounds because it was distressing Julie considerably because he was looking like a holocaust survivor with sunken features and clothes hanging on him like a scarecrow. I had to seek God through it all, but humbly. This was because a few months prior, I had challenged God regarding His lack of concern or care for David. I got what is termed, "A whoopin' from the Lord" and vowed to never do that again. I had to keep up the faith that God had everything under control.

Another test was required by UCI, a Single contrast upper GI. When all the tests were completed, the confirmation was complete that David needed a surgical procedure called a Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy or POEM. This was to take a camera down the throat, cut a hole through the first layer of the esophagus, proceed between the layers, and sever the muscles holding the area tight. The hole is then sutured together using small metal clips. It had struck me later that the Bible states that "we are His workmanship". The word workmanship in the original Greek is poiema, where we get our word poem. God used the medical acronym POEM to remind me that David's workmanship was in His hands.

The procedure.

David's closed esophagus.

Here is where my "waiting for God" came in. Because David was losing so much weight at each delayed interval, we were able to put him on "urgent status" for the nearest possible surgical slot. The good news was he got on the list! The bad news? Almost 4-months in early March 2024. It is here that I must note another of God's hand moving. One-month after David received the procedure, Dr. Chang officially announced his retirement. We got THE specialist, with years of success and experience, only weeks away from him putting down his surgical tools for good. Had David not lost all that weight, his procedure would have been extended by months.

David awaiting surgery.
David awaiting POEM surgery.

I am so pleased to brag on the Lord for so much guidance and lessons in faith. David got through the procedure with flying colors. No nausea from the anesthesia, very limited pain, maintained the proper post-operative diet, and is now showing a renewed love of good food.

I could go on and on regarding how God provided the funding for the surgery, the timely advise from co-workers, and especially the many that prayed for David. Thank you all so much! To God be the Glory!

A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God. – Ecclesiastes 2:24

A Special Tool

A Special Tool
by Rick Schneblin

In 2007, I was sitting in front of my computer and spotted Chuck Girard's email address in my address book. The Lord quietly whispered, "Why not send Chuck an email and just encourage him." Of all the things that God could have asked me to do that day, that seemed the easiest. I did so and Chuck wrote back with a thank you. This began a small exchange including asking if he would like a copy of some early Jesus People music I had digitized (much of which was not available back then as MP3s). He responded with an enthusiastic "yes" which led to another conversational thread. It began with my asking a very simple question.

"Speaking of MP3s, why hasn't Love Song albums been offered on iTunes yet?"

Chuck responded, "I would like to, but the band does not own the Love Song catalog— all those tunes are owned by the album's producer, Freddie Piro."

"Well, ask Freddie Piro to list them on iTunes."

Chuck replied that he once did, but it was a fruitless effort and Chuck was pretty negative about contacting him again. In fact, he did not even want to talk to him, and didn't even know how to contact him.

So, I did some Googling, and found his contact information. I then exhorted Chuck to get in contact with him, despite his misgivings. "I want nothing to do with Freddie Piro," was Chuck's curt reply. "No," I replied, ignoring his unwillingness, "GO ASK FREDDIE to list them on iTunes. Tell him it's free money."

I did not hear back from Chuck, but I did not know at the time that I had planted a small seed of curiosity in him. “Free money? Freddie might understand that.”

Well, a couple of years had gone by since I had that email exchange with Chuck. It was in the Summer of 2009 and Love Song was having a reunion concert at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. I decided to hoof the hour drive down to Costa Mesa to hear them play. Though I arrived early for the concert, I still got a seat way over to the side. It was very crowded that night.

At about mid-concert, Chuck introduced the various members of the band and I was taken aback when he also introduced their old producer/engineer Freddie Piro who was seated in the audience. My mouth gaped open, "What!? Who?! Where?! No way!!" I wanted to jump up and yell to Chuck, "Wha huppun!?" Chuck was very adamant about not wanting to get back in contact with Freddie, but there he was at the reunion concert!?

Fast forward again, one year later in 2010, and there came another reunion concert in Irvine sponsored by The Upper Room. This time it featured various soloists that included Chuck Girard. After listening to many of the glorious testimonies, I began to feel a sense of regret. I felt like I had missed out on ministry during those spirit-filled days. With each testimony and song, I began to feel more and more regret and sadness. "Why had I not made myself more available to God's promptings or opportunities?"

I was beginning to sink into the proverbial Slough of Despond when Karen Lafferty took the stage and began singing "Father of Lights". The following lyrics began a very cathartic weeping with eyes and hands raised heavenward...

Father, when I feel forsaken Oh, Father, when my fragile heart is just Breakin' in two Help me to draw near to You Father, I'm not deserving Oh, Father, I know there's blessing in Serving You Show me the right thing to do

My heart then wept out this request as she sang the chorus...

Father, send us Your spirit Oh, Father, help us to hear Him We want to walk in Your light Pleasing to be in Your sight Oh, Father of Lights

The Spirit of God washed over me with His unconditional Love. I was revived and pulled out of that sinking despondency. From that moment on, I was in church, not a concert. It was capped with Andrae Crouch and the Disciples sending me the rest of the way into pure worship and thankfulness.

After the concert, I was overflowing with his joy. Several of the concert participants were out in the venue courtyard meeting, greeting, and selling their CDs. One of these was Chuck Girard. This was my opportunity to settle my questions from the previous reunion concert. I asked Chuck if he remembered me. He could not quite remember me by my name, so when I described my email with him. He then remembered the collection of MP3s I had sent him. I then got to ask him what in the world happened regarding Freddie Piro. He gave me the following account of events (as I recollect)...

"When you suggested I reach out to Freddie, I was hesitant because of some previous bad experiences. When you added, 'Tell him it's free money' I thought to myself, 'yeah, he would understand that... no printing cost, no inventory, no promoting for store shelf space...' I then decided to take your advice and get back in touch with him. After reconnecting, I discovered that Freddie was not the 'bad guy' I remembered, but rather, he was just a 'flake'... I'm a musician, I can deal with flakes!"

This made me laugh. Chuck then continued, "After a long conversation regarding the Love Song catalog and what to do with it, we came to the conclusion that he would rather just sell it and forego any ownership or future marketing. After hearing this possibility, I contacted Pastor Chuck [Smith] and notified him of this opportunity to purchase the Love Song catalog. Pastor Chuck responded with, 'Have Freddie call me.'

My eyes widened as Chuck continued, "Well, I immediately called Freddie and told him that Pastor Chuck wants you to contact him regarding the purchase of the catalog. Freddie said, 'I will.' Remembering how much of a flake Freddie was, I pressed the point. 'No, contact him now while Pastor Chuck is interested... you have a rare window of opportunity here!' Freddie agreed and immediately contacted Pastor Chuck and they struck a deal. Pastor Chuck was now the new owner of the Love Song catalog."

My mouth was now gaped open in amazement. I thanked Chuck for his update as we parted. It wasn't until around 1 am that I was on the freeway headed home. I was rejoicing in all that had transpired that night and was remembering the lyrics to Father of Lights. It was then that God began to speak to me,

"Rick, remember when you were feeling down because you thought that you had missed ministry opportunities back in the Jesus Movement? And yet, because you were obedient to my small prompting to contact Chuck Girard, now the ownership of the Love Song catalog is in the hands of someone who will give it the proper attention and distribution it needs to flourish—even more than the Jesus People days could have imagined."

I began to weep again as God continued, "Rick, I have a lot of tools in my tool chest. Some I use daily, and some I use now and then. But, there are times when I have need of a specialized tool that can only suffice in certain situations. Remember when you used to work on small engines? Remember the wheel puller? How long had that strange tool sat idle on your peg board? Yet, when you needed it, there it was, ready and willing. Yes, you are frustrated with me using the screwdriver or hammer every day, but they are of no benefit when I need to remove a pulley or flywheel. You are my special tool—there when I need you."

My weeping gave way to convulsive sobs as I fought to keep the tears from distorting the freeway lane I was traveling. I had nothing but thankful prayer on my lips the entire hour drive home.

The Butterfly Effect is the theory that small things can have an impact that could lead to something larger. The concept is imagined with a butterfly flapping its wings that would cause a series of events that could lead up to the creation of a typhoon. A simple example of this can be seen in the classic, It's a Wonderful Life. The main character, George Bailey, thought, by reason of decisions and events, as if everyone would have been better off were he never been born. He was then given the opportunity to see how his small butterfly of a life had wonderful ramifications that he did not realize at the time. For example, saving the life of his little brother would later save the lives of hundreds of navel crewman on a ship in WWII— and even save the destiny of an entire town.

When I became a Christian, I began to see this clearly as we engage with our God. Because He instructed me to flap my butterfly wings of obedience to contact Chuck Girard, look at the resulting typhoon it later created:

All of the Love Song albums got published to iTunes for everyone to download and to be thereby blessed. Pastor Chuck had the entire catalog of albums published as a box set titled Book of Love and then went on tour with Love Song to promote it.

So, next time you feel as if you are not being used, remember this testimony. I had the benefit of seeing the outcome. However, I don't think 99% of the results of our butterfly flappings will be known until we are given our rewards on that Great Day in glory. Till then, have faith that God is using you, whether you see the fruit of it or not. Just stay attached to the vine until He comes to take us home.

The Pyrrhic Victory

The Pyrrhic Victory of the Arizona Cartel

by Capt. Seth Keshel, skeshel.substack.com

May 24, 2023

Pyr-rhic vic-tor-y

Definition: “a victory won at too great a cost to have been worthwhile for the victor”

When people want to wallow in demoralization and defeatism, I always point them to history.

Things are never going to change! The corrupt courts win again!

My reply: Name any evil regime in human history that has not ultimately been remembered for their atrocities and fallen from power in massive disgrace.

Armed with the assurance of the ages, the question now centers on when, not if, this reordering of the world we know shall occur.

Yes, the corrupt global order will come crashing down, and most likely in your lifetime if you’re still in the workforce.  The Fourth Turning is a must-read for patriots who are anxiously waiting out this crisis period, which was foretold by that book’s authors to begin around 2007, and last for approximately 20 years.  We are right on schedule.

History strongly suggests this outline is true and a societal rebirth is at hand, waiting at the door.  If this is to be so, then it requires the climax of this crisis period to be made up of a series of events that exposes the evil regime for what it is.  Do these events fit that mold?

1)         Polarization of Americans

2)         Targeting of Ideological Opponents by Government Agencies

3)         Rise of Trump

4)         Opposition to Trump

5)         COVID Lockdown Tyranny

6)         Continuing Election Manipulation

7)         Government Crackdowns on Dissidents

8)         Judicial Corruption

While I am not surprised that Judge Peter Thompson carried water for the corrupt Arizona cartel in dismissing Kari Lake’s election challenge, even after her team showed the blatant fraud present in the mail-in voting system, with Maricopa County apparently employing cyborgs with mutant speed-reading visual capabilities, I still spent most of the past two days pissed off at the lack of fairness and impartiality in our nation’s courts.  Yes, it hurts, even though we knew in our hearts Thompson was likely to take the coward’s way out.

But here’s the deal: Everyone saw how filthy that election was once again, while dealing with a parallel case pertaining to the Attorney General’s race.  Thompson had to dig into his bag of tricks and write that there is no specific law requiring any amount of time to be spent to constitute “signature verification.”  While no Republican governors are willing to even chime in on the Arizona proceedings, Kari Lake has single-handedly championed the election integrity agenda, and not wavered an inch.  As I’ve outlined previously, she has popularized snarkiness when it comes to our corrupt elections, in a way that dares the left to get into nagging, bothersome details such as signature verification.

Arizona Republic Reporter: Kari, how many children do you have?

Lake: Two, which happens to be how many consecutive elections that have been stolen in Arizona.

Lake’s cases are going to be appealed and will eventually wind up with the U.S. Supreme Court.  Even if they do what they did with the 2020 elections and put their heads in the sand, the cat is out of the bag:  Arizona’s elections, dominated by one of the nation’s largest counties, are heavily manipulated, featuring wide-open mail-in voting to a bloated voter roll, steady chain of custody abuses by a politically active third-party vendor, days of “vote counting,” and lead blockers in media with the singular focus of forcing people to believe angry John McCain stalwarts have flipped the state’s political leanings on a dime.

There is no going back to the way things were.  Trump’s “loss” of Arizona, just the second Democrat presidential “win” in the state since 1952, was glaringly fraudulent and required the first ever forensic audit to verify to the world that the election had no business being certified, even though the official “tallies” matched up with certified results after five months had elapsed to ensure they would.  Everyone was on the lookout for the same issues in 2022, especially since Lake was running hardcore against cartels and election corruption, and her ticket mates were diehards in their own fields of justice and election integrity.  This time, they were caught in real-time.

If we are to adhere to the patterns revealed in The Fourth Turning, clearly, resolution lies just around the corner, if for no other reason that it simply cannot continue forever.  I believe that in issuing a ruling affirming Hobbs’s “win” to the office of governor, Judge Thompson has sealed a Pyrrhic victory for the Arizona cartel.

I’m confident Pyrrhus of Epirus, the Greek king who defeated the Roman General Publius Decius Mus in the Battle of Asculum in 279 B.C., had no idea his signature victory would be remembered throughout the ages as a victory that came at such a severe cost that it prevented ultimate victory in the war itself, or that such an exemplar should bear his name.  Plutarch wrote this of the victory at Asculum:

The armies separated; and, it is said, Pyrrhus replied to one that gave him joy of his victory that one other such victory would utterly undo him. For he had lost a great part of the forces he brought with him, and almost all his particular friends and principal commanders; there were no others there to make recruits, and he found the confederates in Italy backward. On the other hand, as from a fountain continually flowing out of the city, the Roman camp was quickly and plentifully filled up with fresh men, not at all abating in courage for the loss they sustained, but even from their very anger gaining new force and resolution to go on with the war.

Modern history gives us other examples of Pyrrhic victories, like the Battle of Bunker Hill in 1775, fought in the heart of Boston.  The British finally took the rather unimportant hill after sustaining substantially more casualties than the colonists, including a high number of officers.  This battle gave us the phrase, “don’t fire until you see the whites of their eyes.”

The Battle of the Alamo, fought in modern day San Antonio, Texas, in 1836, resulted in a Mexican victory that resulted in nearly 100% death for the defending party; however, the spirit of that fight, and the resolve shown by the Texians, empowered Sam Houston to win Texas independence just a few short weeks later.  The defenders of the Alamo took out three Mexican attackers for every one defender who lost his life.

Conclusion

We will see what the higher courts have to say about this matter.  It may well be that they are going to punt on the case altogether, affirming lower court findings, or issue a broad decision that scolds the conduct of an election while upholding its dubious results.  There really are no standards in modern-day American judicial proceedings in which certainty may be attained; however, if these courts intended to put on a dog-and-pony show to give the illusion of fairness to the angry public, they got more than they bargained for, being bludgeoned with endless evidence about just how corrupt these elections are, done in full view of the public which already believed the elections were terrible, anyway.

Judge Thompson’s standards required such a high bar of evidence that overturning the results of the election were next to impossible, yet the evidence was so convincing, and the defense so pathetic, that Thompson had to turn over one of his rulings on Christmas Eve to escape scrutiny, and the other late in the evening just two days ago.  You would think with so much confidence (sarcasm) that there was no deliberate misconduct on the part of Maricopa County elections officials that Thompson would be happy to address such a newsworthy story in as significant of a setting as possible.

In the long-term fight to restore elections in America, Lake’s trials before the Maricopa courts were necessary, and extremely productive.  Maricopa’s defense team and witnesses fell all over themselves trying to explain away how fraudulent their processes are and could only be saved by the safety net of judicial corruption.  If we knew this would happen in Arizona in 2022, and now we know exactly what is going on in Maricopa County, this is going to be even further scrutinized in 2024, regardless of what the ultimate ruling on Lake’s case may be from even the U.S. Supreme Court.

Maricopa County will be forced to change tactics, and further exposure of the 2022 election will continue to shift the tide in favor of doing away with no-excuse mail-in voting, and lead to a tightening of elections procedures.  We may not like the short-term results, and we shouldn’t, but these proceedings are necessary in the context of The Fourth Turning we find ourselves in today and will be memorialized in the future when elections are once again reflective of the will of the people.

The Arizona cartel, for the time being, has won a Pyrrhic victory.
